Baby pool day, 5 months old, baby wearing and playing with Daddy

I've been kinda busy with the little guy lately giving me no time to post. So I have a few things to blog about. First last Saturday when Kraig was working I dragged the baby pool out that I wanted so bad and never used. I filled it up and put naked Memphis in it to play. He loved it. He can't sit totally unsupported so he threw one arm over the side of the pool. I had a mini photo shoot while he was playing in the water. 2 year old Zach from next door wanted to join so I let him. I don't think Memphis liked sharing his pool very much. Every time Zach tried to talk to him or play with him Memphis would scream and cry. I couldn't help but laugh. I only let him stay outside for 1 hour since it was the longest he was out in the sun without clothes. I did lather him up with sunscreen ofcourse. All in all it was a sucessful pool day.

On August 23rd, 2009 Memphis turned 5 months old! I can't believe my little guy is getting so big. He is rolling over and almost sitting up on his own. Pretty soon he will be crawling all over the place! I wish my little baby would stay a baby.

I enjoy baby wearing so much I thought I would share some pictures. I have an Ergo carrier and normally wear Memphis in the front with him facing me. He can't stand not seeing what is going on so I decided to try the side and back carry. He loves the side carry! He isn't quite big enough for the back carry yet. I wear him around the house when he is upset, for walks, when shopping and on outings like baseball games and the aquarium. I love having him so close to me and being able to protect him. It's so special. Kraig loves to wear Memphis too! I plan on doing it for a while.

Also Daddy has become Memphis' new favorite play mate. He doesn't want to play with Mama anymore! Kraig can cheer him up in a second and have him laughing out loud in no time. It's so sweet to seem them playing together.

Little Swimmer!

We took Memphis to the pool late this afternoon for the second time. He had a blast swimming and splashing for an hour. He accidently swallowed some water a couple times and didn't really like it! We are trying to get him comfortable with water and eventually put him in swimming lessons since our lives basically revolve around the beach. We had a mini photo shoot before we went swimming. Memphis was lounging in his board shorts and sun glasses, it was adorable! I can't believe my baby is growing so fast!

Daddy's First Day Back at School!

Today was Kraig's first day back at CCU. I could tell he was excited to be back but I am sure he is sad that Parasailing is basically over for the summer. He will still be working weekends at Bob's Watersports as a banana boat captain until sometime in September. I must say I am glad that school is starting because Kraig will be home more and able to spend time with us. He has a great school schedule, which makes it a lot easier for us. Hopefully this will be a great school year for him!

My first post!

Welcome to my blog! I started a blog to share our new family experiences and all of Memphis' firsts!

I am 20 years old and right now stay at home with my son. I love spending all my time with him and being there for his every need 24/7. I do enjoy a break every now and then and that's where Kraig comes in.

Kraig will be turning 23 in a month and is attending Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Business. He is certified by the Coast Gaurd as a Boat Captain and spends his summer working at a parasail company. He enjoys being a Daddy and plays with Memphis every chance he gets!

Memphis made his debut March 23, 2009 at 6:16pm. He weighed 7 lb. 8 oz., 19 in long and perfect in every way! I was induced 3 days before my due date and was in labor for 13 hours... 8 hours without an epidural! Now at almost 5 months old Memphis weighs 18 lb. and is a handful! He loves to play games and laughs all the time. He enjoys jumping in his jumperoo and loves his bouncy seat. Bath time is one of his favorite times of the day and no he does not sleep through the night! He is the best baby and I couldn't ask for a more perfect son!

I am so excited to continue blogging and sharing our life with our family and friends!
